Certified Human Resource Management Professionals (CHRP)

Background information

The Certified Human Resource Management Professionals (CHRP) qualification exists to enhance the competency of HR professionals. The examinations are aimed at assessing the HR body of knowledge, practical skills and required attitudes for effective delivery of human resource management services to stakeholders.

Course Structure

CHRP Part I -1 Year

 Level 1 (6 Months)

  4. CHRP 04 Introduction to Financial Accounting
  5. CHRP 05  Principles and Practice in Management

Level 2 (6 Months) 

  1. CHRP 06 Introduction to Economics
  2. CHRP 07 Office Administrations & Practice
  3. CHRP 08 Organizational Theories and Behavior
  4. CHRP 09 Human Resource Administration
  5. CHRP 10 Management Information Systems

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Have passed Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with an aggregate of C+ and a minimum grade of C in English and mathematics. OR
  • Have equivalent qualifications subject to approval by the Examinations Board. OR
  • Have other relevant qualifications recognized by the Examinations Board.

CHRP PART II – (1year)

Level 3   (6 months)

  1. CHRP 11 Organization Change and development
  2. CHRP 12 Employee Resourcing
  3. CHRP 13 Learning & Development

Level 4   (6  months)

  1. CHRP 14 Reward Management
  2. CHRP 15 Employee Relations
  3. CHRP 16 Labour Laws

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Hold Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) I. OR
  • Hold a Diploma in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution. OR
  • Hold a Bachelors’ Degree in Human Resource Management from a recognized university. OR
  • Hold equivalent qualifications recognized by the    Examinations Board.

CHRP PART III (6 months)

 Level 5

  1. CHRP 17 Leadership and Corporate Governance
  2. CHRP 18 Strategic Human Resource Management
  3. CHRP 19 Counseling and Coaching

Level 6

  1. CHRP 20 Entrepreneurship and Human Resources Consultancy
  2. CHRP 21 Human Resource Accounting
  3. CHRP 22 Human Resource Research Project

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Hold Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) II. OR
  • Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management from KNEC or its equivalent. OR
  • Hold a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from a recognized university. OR
  • Hold equivalent qualifications recognized by the Examinations Board.
